West Ham United and Daniel Kretinsky development to be sorted behind scenes – Finance Expert

We’re delighted to welcome football finance expert Dr Daniel Plumley as our exclusive West Ham United columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the London Stadium...

Dan Plumley has insisted that the legal dispute between West Ham and the LLDC is something behind the scenes that many would usually never see.

The Daily Mail has reported that the dispute is over how much LLDC believe they are owed from Daniel Kretinsky’s £168.75million investment in the club back in November 2021.

The finance expert believes there will be agreements in place and the eventual conclusion will be reached outside of the public eye in the end at the London Stadium.

West Ham

“One of the things behind the scenes that we would never see,” he exclusively told West Ham Zone.

“There are always these things in deals. For me, it would be wrapped up in that initial agreement because it is a factor in the bigger picture of West Ham.

“At the minute, If you’re taking over West Ham United, you would want to own the stadium as part of that and they don’t own that stadium at the minute, so, that will be where this has most likely come from and it will one of those things that we don’t see the details of as there will be agreements in place and it will be done outside of the public eye.”

West Ham

This piece of news came out of nowhere.

It does highlight just how important it may be for West Ham to eventually own the London Stadium though, something that is a real possibility once Kretinsky takes over.

That is certainly one to keep an eye on.
