West Ham United ace Konstantinos Mavropanos injury news emerges v Chelsea

West Ham defender Konstantinos Mavropanos may require a late fitness test against Chelsea, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims he has been ruled out with what’s likely to be a minor contact injury which is why he missed the Bayer Leverkusen, Crystal Palace and Liverpool games.

Ahead of the Chelsea game on Sunday, 5 May, there is a chance he may need to pass a fitness test to be cleared for it.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham ZoneBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said: “Mavropanos picked up a minor knock and that’s what has kept him out of action.

It likely means he picked up a minor contact injury.

If it’s truly minor then he will likely already be in full training or close to it.

Moyes gave him a decent chance to start over the weekend and perhaps he wasn’t quite ready.

I reckon, he’ll be fit enough to return over the weekend and might need a late fitness test just in case.

Konstantinos Mavropanos has played in almost half of the West Ham games

Mavropanos has played 18 Premier League games this season, of which he’s started in 15.

The Hammers defence has been inconsistent and due to injuries, David Moyes has had to chop and change his team more than he would’ve liked to.

West Ham manager David Moyes
David Moyes will manage West Ham United for the final time against Manchester City on May 19.

The 26-year-old, while he has been error-prone on occasion has given the team a much-needed aerial threat and is likely to return to the eleven if he’s a 100 per cent.

In other West Ham news, the club have been handed a major boost in appointing David Moyes’ replacement as a manager has made his future intentions clear.
