West Ham United ace Edson Alvarez surgery claim emerges due to hamstring injury
West Ham midfielder Edson Alvarez may be ruled out for months with a hamstring injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that it looked like a high intensity hamstring setback and that could keep him out of action for months as well.
This comes after the 26-year-old picked up an injury in Mexico’s Copa America clash against Jamaica on 23 June.
Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:
“It looked like a really bad one and the fact that it ended his tournament tells you that it’s a high intensity setback.
“This could be a tear in his left hamstring that could potentially require surgery as well.
“If that is the case, he may even be ruled out for three months until he recovers 100 per cent.”
