West Ham set for further steps to seal Mads Hermansen transfer
This story includes exclusive opinion from injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar.
West Ham are reportedly in pursuit of Leicester City goalkeeper Mads Hermansen in the summer transfer window.
Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has delivered a verdict on the Danish goalkeeper ahead of a potential medical this summer.
He played 27 Premier League games for the Foxes last season and could leave now that they have been relegated to the Championship.

Hermansen groin injury may cause potential transfer issues
Despite a groin injury plaguing him last season, the 25-year-old is not expected to face issues clearing his medical.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said: “The club will likely take a closer look at the groin injury which plagued throughout last season and into the summer.
“If it remains persistent and he’s a candidate, for example, dealing with a persistent sports hernia, surgery could be an option.
“This may scupper the transfer and put him in the high risk category.”

West Ham can do better than Hermansen
West Ham can surely do better than Hermansen, especially if they want to achieve European football next season.
The London Stadium outfit have Alphonse Areola as their number one but he has been extremely inconsistent, making it imperative to sign a replacement.
His inconsistent Premier League performances and the club’s ability to attract superior alternatives means that they should do better.
Despite some standout saves, Hermansen conceded 58 goals in 27 matches for relegated Leicester City, with only one error but a high goals-against tally, reflecting defensive frailties.
His £35million price tag is steep for a Championship-level keeper with limited top-flight reliability.
The Irons, under Graham Potter, can target proven options like Aaron Ramsdale, who, despite Southampton’s relegation, showed consistent quality, or other elite keepers, ensuring a stronger, more reliable number one.
