West Ham could swoop for Lindelof free transfer as £30m Todibo update emerges
West Ham could move to sign Victor Lindelof on a free transfer this summer.
The Sweden international is without a club since departing Manchester United at the end of his contract at Old Trafford.
This ended an eight-year association with the Red Devils, featuring regularly in the Premier League since his move from Benfica in 2017.
The 31-year-old could potentially be set to remain in the Premier League for the upcoming season, with a London Stadium switch potentially set to be in the pipeline.

West Ham could land Lindelof on free transfer
It will certainly be interesting to see how Graham Potter reflects on his current squad, especially in the backline, after a difficult campaign.
This has already been rectified in full-back areas with the signings of El Hadji Malick Diouf and Kyle Walker-Peters this summer.
Attention could now turn to the centre-back roles, especially after the struggles that Jean-Clair Todibo showcased at times last season.
Stat (Premier League 24/25) | Victor Lindelof | Jean-Clair Todibo |
Appearances | 16 | 27 |
Duels won | 25 | 90 |
Recoveries | 29 | 79 |
This could see Lindelof make complete sense as a free signing, something which ex-Brentford boss Martin Allen has been left waiting on moving into the new Premier League campaign.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Allen said: “He struggled a bit at Manchester United, he never quite evolved as you’d have hoped.
“Would West Ham want him? Well, they paid over £30m for Todibo, who hasn’t really impressed, so what they’re going to do there, I’m unsure.
“It is a tough one, but I think a new centre-back is needed.
“Would Lindelof on a free from Manchester United work? Maybe.
“He’s had a good career with Sweden and always plays well for them, but only time will tell on that one.“

Lindelof could compete with Todibo at West Ham
It is fair to say that David Sullivan doesn’t have the greatest reputation among Hammers fans right now.
The potential addition of Callum Wilson on a free transfer hasn’t gone down particularly well with the claret and blue faithful in recent weeks.
As a result, there is likely to be a similar verdict surrounding a potential move for Lindelof after his Old Trafford summer departure.
With that being said, spreading the budget to help build a squad ready for the new season is of paramount importance, and these highly experienced pros on free deals could prove to be wise.
