Ivan Toney is a possible option, but Al-Ahli will only sanction a loan, making any move difficult.
Either way, Nuno Espirito Santo needs help if he is to help West Ham survive.

Dan Plumley believes that signing Toney would be a “big risk” at the London Stadium, with any loan and finances involved simply not worth it.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, the football finance expert shared that the Police charge only adds to those complications as well.
“Recent news regarding the police charge won’t have helped his cause here and would be another complication to factor into a deal,” Plumley said.
“I can also understand Al-Ahli only wanting him to go on loan as well.
“It is a big risk to take on right now, in my opinion, and I would suggest it is probably unlikely he ends up at West Ham now.“
Which other strikers could West Ham sign?
Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee is another option for West Ham, with a loan mooted, although he has played more at Old Trafford recently.
But, it looks like the Hammers are going down a different route.
It is said West Ham are preparing a £17.5million offer for Norwich star Joshua Sargent, who has been flying in the Championship for years now.
After a slow start to this season, the Canaries could be tempted to sell, and Sargent is definitely one to watch once January 1 arrives.
As for Toney, it may be time to forget that one.
