Roshane Thomas Q&A: Declan Rice & Tomas Soucek going nowhere – West Ham Exclusive
West Ham Zone conducted an exclusive interview with The Athletic journalist Roshane Thomas, getting his views on the biggest talking points at the London Stadium…

Roshane Thomas has revealed midfielders Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek are both happy at West Ham and won’t be leaving any time soon.
England international Rice has been linked with a move back to Chelsea for a number of years now but Frank Lampard’s sacking has seen that come to an end.
Thomas also shared that Soucek won’t be signing a new deal at the London Stadium, despite rumours that Bayern Munich were sniffing around his signature.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Thomas said, “There’s no interest from Chelsea anymore.
“The one person who was trying for the deal was Frank Lampard, and was following his dismissal, he was the only one who thought Rice was worth the money West Ham were asking for.
“Soucek was linked with Bayern Munich in January, but I was told, listen he has no interest in leaving, he loves it at West Ham.
“He’s appreciative of what the club have done for him, there was also reports that he was being offered a new contract, but that is not true.
“All in all, both of them are very happy with the progress the club are making.”
Brilliant news.
David Moyes is planning for the future, and these are the two players that everything will be built around at the London Stadium.
Jamie Carragher recently labelled Rice and Soucek as the best midfield pairing in the entire Premier League, and that is massive praise for their performances.
There is bound to be interest in this wonderful duo, but there has been a major difference in the Hammers in recent years.
With European football potentially on the horizon, there are good times ahead at the London Stadium, with Rice and Soucek certainly at the heart of that.
