Premier League elite to chase El Hadji Malick Diouf as £35m reveal emerges at West Ham

El Hadji Malick Diouf has made a superb impression since signing for West Ham.

Diouf signed for West Ham from Slavia Prague in the summer and has become an immediate starter at the London Stadium.

Jeff Stelling has been left blown away by Diouf, and that is the general sentiment among Hammers supporters and the wider footballing world.

The Senegal international was excellent once again as West Ham drew 1-1 with Everton in Nuno Espirito Santo’s first game in charge.

The Irons could ultimately suffer because of Diouf’s excellent performances if top sides are to come hunting for his signature.

Premier League clubs shortlist Malick Diouf

David Sullivan and the Irons have made several mistakes in their transfer business over the years.

That isn’t the case with West Ham’s signing of Diouf as the deal for the 20-year-old already looks to be a bargain at this stage of the season.

The dynamic left-back has already made a name for himself in East London with his showing against Everton, and doesn’t look like stopping anytime soon.

Iconic commentator Ian Darke believes this will lead to interest from elsewhere in the Premier League for a potential £35million transfer in the future.

Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Darke said: “He’ll be going into plenty of notebooks after his performance against Everton.

He put in a sensational second-half display with his speed and power down the left-hand side. He was causing havoc, and Everton couldn’t cope with him.

You saw when he played for Senegal against England that he was a talented player.

For all their problems, West Ham have pulled off a very good signing. If clubs towards the top of the division start to need a left back, he would be near the top of their list.

He only cost £19m, which is below average nowadays. If he came on the market now, he’d probably be worth upwards of £30-35m.

West Ham can’t let Diouf go yet

The Irons have struggled for success in the transfer market so regularly that it is genuinely surprising that the Senegalese defender has been so good so quickly.

It would be truly foolish to let Diouf go this early in his West Ham spell, should a top team come calling in the upcoming transfer windows.

Sullivan can’t push the eject button just yet, regardless of what sort of profit could be made from the full-back just months after signing him.
