Nathan Zeze transfer claim shared as West Ham United launch multi-million bid

West Ham should not be dissuaded from signing Nantes defender Nathan Zeze amid his lack of first-team appearances, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that despite the French defender being 19, it is not necessarily an indicator that he will face fitness issues if he moves to the Premier League.

This comes after Sport Italia reported on 12 August that the Hammers had submitted a £17million bid for the Nantes centre-back.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham ZoneBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:

Wouldn’t call it a red flag but certainly the club will have to be aware of the fact that he’s still 19 and has had very limited first-team games in what’s been just one season of senior football.

The key parameters to understand will be his underlying fitness, habits, and physical metrics.

Unless he’s had a series of fitness issues throughout his teenage years, this is not a player I’d be dissuading from signing.

West Ham do not need another centre-back transfer

The Hammers have already roped in two centre-backs this summer and do not need a third one before the transfer deadline.

To add to it, Zeze’s still only 19 and may not be ready for the rigours of playing week in and week out in the Premier League.

He’s also not available on the cheap and at this stage, if the club are willing to shell out that kind of money, it should be in other areas of the pitch.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers have made another transfer bid which is close to the player’s valuation as another London Stadium move is on the cards.
