Martin Allen blown away by ‘Absolutely Superb’ West Ham signing – ‘It’s a Done Deal’

West Ham have confirmed the signing of El Hadji Malick Diouf from Slavia Prague.

The Hammers have finally kick-started their summer business at the London Stadium with the signing of the Senegal international.

Despite links to a number of players, it appears that the 20-year-old defender has become the first pickup for Graham Potter’s side.

A deal for the left-back has now been announced in E20, with one factor catching the eye in what looks to be an excellent signing for the Irons.

At last, a new signing has come through the doors as the youngster will now follow in the footsteps of Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal in joining the East Londoners.

A deal worth £19million with a future £3.45m in add-ons was agreed [Ryan Taylor, 13 July] and has now been confirmed with an announcement on Tuesday (15 July).

Diouf’s signing at the London Stadium has certainly caught the eye already, with former Brentford and Leicester City manager Martin Allen being pleased by one element of his game.

The attacking left-back was given a huge goodbye from Slavia Prague, something which left a lasting impression on the former Hammers midfielder.

I know it has all been agreed, and it’s a done deal.” Allen exclusively told West Ham Zone.

What I do know about him is that when he played against England, he was absolutely superb. He’s very good going forward, he’s young and has got pace.

In his last game for Slavia Prague, he went on in the 90th minute, and all his teammates and supporters clapped him for his work there.

I just think that is a really good sign, and it’s something that West Ham should relish.

It looks to me like a really good signing.

Diouf deal finally announced at West Ham

Having lost Aaron Cresswell at the end of his Hammers contract, there was certainly a need for a new left-back option in claret and blue.

As a result, a swoop for Diouf makes complete sense, especially with how well-liked he clearly has become after just 18 months in Czechia.
