Jhon Duran ‘to clear medical’ as West Ham transfer news emerges
Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran is expected to pass a medical at West Ham if needed despite a serious hamstring injury last season, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that as it’s been a year since then and he’s not had any issues this season, everything appears to be good on the fitness front.
This comes after David Ornstein reported on 20 January that the Hammers have tabled a £57million bid for the Colombia international.
Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said: “Based on the timeline of his serious hamstring injury last season, it likely was a Grade 2 or 3 tear.
“It’s been nearly a year and no issues so wouldn’t expect too many issues there.
“He has played this season without any re-injuries so he’s expected to clear the medical if needed.“
Jhon Duran would be a quality signing for West Ham
The Hammers desperately need a quality young striker and Duran makes perfect sense for them under Graham Potter’s stewardship.
Potter can get the best out of the 21-year-old at the London Stadium and more importantly for him, he will get regular game time as well.

Whether or not Villa are open to selling him, remains to be seen, as he’s highly rated by Unai Emery.
In other West Ham news, sources claim the Hammers can now secure the services of a £40m player in January.
