Injury Expert drops update on West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell for Aston Villa clash
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at West Ham...
West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell should return for the clash against Aston Villa but still needs to be cleared by the medical staff, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.
According to the injury expert, given Cresswell’s setback, he should be out for no longer than two weeks and that means he’ll be back post the international break.
The Hammers travel to Villa Park on Sunday, 22 October, and David Moues will be hoping to have a full-strength side available to him.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said:
“Based on the verbiage, it seems to be that he has a low level strain which is typically a 1-2 week return.
“There is still variance on that depending on specifics.
“If it’s, in fact, a low level strain, then an October 22 return following a methodical build-up would be more than adequate but he’s still a doubt until he gets the green signal from the club.“

The 33-year-old has not featured in the Premier League this season even for a single minute off the bench.
His only appearance for the Hammers has been in the Europa League and even there he did not play more than 50 minutes.
It remains to be seen if Moyes looks to give him a run of first-team minutes once he’s fit or a January exit may be on the cards for the left-back.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are now frustrated with a £10m player as a behind-the-scenes revelation has emerged from the London Stadium.
