Finance Expert reacts to complex Daniel Kretinsky developments as West Ham United shares could be sold
We’re delighted to welcome football finance expert Dr Daniel Plumley as our exclusive West Ham United columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the London Stadium...
Dan Plumley has insisted that Daniel Kretinsky will be spinning many plates as talks over more West Ham United investments are expected in 2023.
The Finance Expert admitted that with the Royal Mail takeover ongoing, things may need to fall in line before the Czech billionaire can increase his stake at the London Stadium.
Claret and Hugh have reported that talks are expected for that to happen and may kickstart in the Spring of 2023 with David Gold potentially set to sell some shares.

“I think this is where the connectivity of owners and football clubs and their other investment portfolios and how that is all connected both ways, this is an example of the complexity within that and how sometimes somethings have to rely on each other,” he exclusively told West Ham Zone.
“If you’ve got a deal going through outside of football or you’re looking at making a deal outside, that may then have a knock-on effect on what you can afford or the liquidity process in terms of vital that is to raise the cash to up other forms of investment.
“I think that is absolutely at play here from what we can see and then you have others jostling for position to do it at the right time.
“We often forget that some of these owners are spinning a lot of other plates and those plates then sometimes dictate what happens to the investment in the football club, it’s not always the case that it’s a bottomless pot of money to go out and that’s the owners only thing they’re doing.
“They have other businesses and investments that need to fire to enable the football club to fire as well.”
