Exclusive: West Ham United in process of partnership deal with FC Nordsjælland

West Ham are in the process of forming a partnership with European side FC Nordsjælland, West Ham Zone has been told.

FC Nordsjælland are a Danish side who play their football in Denmark’s top flight, the Superliga.

They currently sit fourth in the Superliga standings for the 2023/24 season having played 20 league matches.

In addition to their exploits in Denmark this season, the club also competed in Europe as they were eliminated from the Group Stages of the UEFA Europa Conference League, finishing third with 10 points in a fiercely contested Group H.

Hammers star Mohammed Kudus previously played for FC Nordsjælland before signing for Ajax, and an ex-employee from the scouting department at the London Stadium has exclusively revealed to West Ham Zone that they “have heard” David Moyes’ side are looking to form a partnership with Nordsjælland.

West Ham and FC Nordsjælland both stand to benefit from a partnership

Right to Dream, a youth association football academy system based in Ghana, purchased FC Nordsjælland in 2015, with a partnership being formed between the academy and the Danish side’s youth system.

Kudus was a beneficiary of this, having started his career with Right to Dream and since going on to represent Ghana at international level.

West Ham Zone has learned that the East London side could now look to set up a similar partnership with FC Nordsjælland which would see the two clubs exchange ideas and young players.

It could be a deal which saves the club millions in the long run.

Moyes’ side agreed a £38million deal with Ajax to sign Kudus last summer (Sky Sports News, 28 August 2023).

Mohammed Kudus has been a key performer for West Ham this season.

The attacking midfielder is the profile of player the club could bring in for a significantly reduced fee going forward if their partnership with FC Nordsjælland proves to be a hit.
