Exclusive: Frank McAvennie predicts winner in West Ham clash v Fulham

We’re delighted to welcome former West Ham United striker Frank McAvennie as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the London Stadium…

Frank McAvennie has backed West Ham United to continue their impressive run of Premier League form with another victory against Fulham on Saturday.

The former Hammers striker has predicted that it will finish 2-1 at Craven Cottage, with Scott Parker’s side backed to be “hard to beat.”

David Moyes’ men are currently sitting in fifth in the Premier League, and can once again jump into the Champions League spots with a win.

Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, McAvennie said, “Fulham, you know what you’re getting from a Scott Parker side.

“They’re going to be hard to beat, especially against his old club. I would think he would have his boys up for it.

“I think West Ham will beat them by the odd goal – 2-1.”

The Irons have won all-but-one game in 2021, with their defeat against Liverpool the only blip on the record since the New Year.

Fulham, on the other hand, have been in a torrid run of form, and have only won two games all season, with the majority of their points coming from draws.

Moyes will be desperate for his side to continue their run of form, and winning games like these will be crucial to the hopes of European qualification.
