Doctor shares if Luis Guilherme may fail medical as West Ham United transfer news emerges
Palmeiras forward is likely to pass his medical at West Ham but faces risks of injury in the coming months, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that as the 18-year-old is moving from a less physical league and the fact that he’s not been a professional footballer for too long, may have an impact.
The Hammers have scheduled a medical for the Brazilian forward with Fabrizio Romano claiming the deal is expected to be worth £25.4million.
Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:
“You always want to be methodical for any player moving into a higher intensity league, particularly the Premier League which has the highest level of sprints and high intensity efforts of the major leagues and are still developing physically.
“The risk of injury initially will be higher as he adapts to a different and more physical environment.
“Having assessed his fitness record, there’s no reason to believe he will have any issues in passing a medical.“
West Ham taking a punt on Brazilian talent Luis Guilherme
The 18-year-old has impressed with his performances in Brazil and it remains to be seen if this translates to him succeeding in the Premier League.
Guilherme’s versatility, being able to play on either wing or as an attacking midfielder, makes him a valuable asset to the team.

His potential addition would bring creativity and flair to West Ham’s attack, providing manager Julen Lopetegui with more options in the final third.
