Alexander Sorloth medical update emerges as West Ham United make £25m bid
Villarreal striker Alexander Sorloth should have no issues clearing his West Ham medical despite a thigh injury last season, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the 28-year-old Norway international would’ve recovered from the setback and will be in good shape ahead of the new season.
This comes after Corriere Dello Sport reported on 17 July that the Hammers made a £25.2million bid and it was turned down by the Spanish club.
Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:
“He had a thigh injury last season which kept him out for a few weeks.
“Based on the days missed, which were 24, I’d reckon this is a Grade 1 or 2 out of 4 thigh injury.
“Overall, unless there’s some unforeseen outlier, I wouldn’t expect him to have any issues with his medical as he would’ve recovered from the aforementioned injury.“
Alexander Sorloth will be a decent signing for West Ham
The Hammers must sign Sorloth because he is a proven goalscorer who has excelled in La Liga, finishing as the second-highest scorer last season with 23 goals in 34 games.
His physical presence and technical skills make him a threat in the box and his experience in European competitions adds valuable depth to the squad.

Sorloth’s potential arrival would address the club’s need for a reliable striker, enhancing their attacking options and increasing their competitiveness in the Premier League.
In other West Ham news, a £11.6million bid update has emerged as the Hammers aim to beat Brighton to seal a new transfer.
