WHZ View: 19 losses & 0% dribble completion – Seb Haller has night to forget v Leeds

West Ham United were excellent on Friday night as they cruised to a 2-1 victory against Leeds at Elland Road.

Despite going behind early on, the Hammers rallied and dominated the majority of the game on their way to all three points.

David Moyes decided to go attacking, with Said Benrahma coming in to join Jarrod Bowen and Pablo Fornals behind Sebastien Haller.

It was a good job he did.

Haller was shocking once again, and if that three behind him didn’t consistently cause trouble, the Irons could have struggled drastically.

The 26-year-old missed a number of clear-cut chances in Yorkshire, but it was his all-round game that was once again a disaster.

According to WyScout, completed zero of his attempted dribbles and only won 32% of his offensive duels at Elland Road.

Haller lost the ball on 19 separate occasions, and that led to him giving away four fouls and break down most of the Hammers attacks.

Thankfully, the Irons weren’t made to pay for the lack of efficiency from their striker, who must be desperate to find the back of the net.

It was truly a night to forget for Haller.

Michail Antonio has been missing with a hamstring problem, with Claret and Hugh reporting that he will also miss the Crystal Palace clash – not returning until the Chelsea game.

Moyes will be crossing his fingers over the fitness of Antonio and will be praying that he could return early after this Haller disasterclass.

It was easy to defend the Ivorian international when he looked isolated in the final third, but he had plenty of chances on Friday, and he should have put Leeds to bed much earlier than his side did.
