Ward-Prowse axed in three changes – West Ham predicted XI v Bournemouth

Graham Potter is expected to make three changes to his starting line-up when West Ham face Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Hammers fell to a 1-0 defeat against relegation strugglers Wolves (1 April), with a Jorgen Strand Larsen strike being the only goal of the contest.

It was another blow for Potter and means that his side have only won three of his 11 matches in charge since replacing Julen Lopetegui.

He will be hoping to get back to winning ways for the first time since 27 February against Andoni Iraola’s side on 5 April.

Ward-Prowse set to be axed for West Ham v Bournemouth

Ward-Prowse has impressed Potter since returning to the London Stadium but he may miss out against the Cherries after a subpar performance against the Old Gold.

Alphonse Areola is expected to remain in place between the sticks as he seems to have finally beaten Lukas Fabianksi for the number one spot.

Potter is predicted to stick with his favoured back five system but there could be multiple personnel changes for the London Stadium encounter.

The former Brighton man might bring Jean-Clair Todibo back into the fold to replace the underwhelming Kostas Mavropanos to partner Aaron Cresswell and Max Kilman at the heart of the defence.

In front of them, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Oliver Scarles are predicted to keep their places as wing-backs after impressing since the 49-year-old was appointed.

Lucas Paqueta might keep his place in midfield but Ward-Prowse could be dropped in favour of Edson Alvarez to add more balance to the central partnership.

Guilherme dropped after a dismal Wolves display

Luis Guilherme was handed a rare opportunity to impress against Vitor Pereira’s side but failed to take his chance and was hooked at half-time as a result.

Carlos Soler is predicted to take his place in a more advanced role, with Jarrod Bowen expected to carry the majority of the creative burden alongside the Spaniard.

Evan Ferguson completes the line-up despite a poor showing against Wolves, as Niclas Fullkrug is an injury doubt and Michail Antonio remains sidelined.

There is little to play for in terms of their Premier League position for the Irons but they will be keen to finish the season as strongly as possible.

Perhaps more importantly, players are fighting for a future under Potter as he looks set to overhaul the squad in the summer transfer window and some stars need to desperately improve if they want to stick around in East London.
