Inaki Williams longevity in La Liga proves West Ham don’t need to rotate
A lot of pundits across the country have been urging David Moyes to rotate his West Ham side to give players time off with their congested fixture list.
Michail Antonio has been the only senior striker in the Irons squad all season long and he’s played an awful lot of games as a result with no other realistic alternative.
Jarrod Bowen did play a handful of games through the middle when the Jamaican picked up a knock partway through the season but no one else has led the line for the Hammers.
While many are calling for Antonio to be rested in any way possible with the Europa League semi-final against Eintracht Frankurt rapidly approaching, one man in La Liga suggests the 31-year-old can keep on going.
Atletico Bilbao striker Inaki Williams, who has a very similar play style to Antonio, has played every single La Liga game for the last six years [ESPN].
The Spaniard is even the quickest player in the entire Spanish top division and shows no signs of slowing down despite his relentless run of games for more than half a decade.
Maybe the intensity of La Liga games doesn’t quite match the Premier League but it still isn’t Sunday league level by any stretch of the imagination.

Moyes might look at this quite incredible statistic and say that he’s done nothing wrong with Antonio’s workload and the player himself is clearly happy to play every single game if he’s asked to do so.
Having said that, a striker has to be the number one priority in the summer because if the Jamaican gets injured for a long time, things could quickly go pear-shaped at the London Stadium.
In other West Ham news, a BBC pundit was in awe of what he saw Bowen do as the Irons were held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley on Sunday.
