‘Fullkrug must be wary’ as scouting mission development emerges at West Ham
Niclas Fullkrug has struggled for form and fitness since signing for West Ham in the summer.
The Germany international was met with high expectations when he signed at the London Stadium after a summer at the European Championships.
The 32-year-old has scored just one goal since Graham Potter’s but has been limited to just 11 total appearances since moving to England.
With that being said, he will have one eye looking over his shoulder as a scouting mission looks set to kick off in East London.

West Ham eye Baris Alper Yilmaz and Semih Kilicsoy
There is no doubt that the Irons are in desperate need of a new number nine option moving into the new Premier League season.
Evan Ferguson hasn’t found his feet in E20 yet and is unlikely to be worth whatever fee Brighton places on the Irishman’s head.
The E20 club also can’t rely on Michail Antonio quite yet as he continues his rehab after his accident.
With that in mind, the Hammers have sent an official to watch the Super Lig derby clash between Besiktas and Galatasaray to watch Yilmaz and Kilicsoy [Takvim].
The Turkish giants are set to face off on Saturday (29 March) as the East Londoners look to monitor the two strikers ahead of the summer transfer window.
After the game, the scout in attendance is expected to submit a report, which could prove to be damaging for Fullkrug moving forward.

Fullkrug could be finished at West Ham
The ex-Borussia Dortmund man has been dealt a bad hand in England, picking up two lengthy injuries which have damaged his chances hugely.
Despite this, the striker hasn’t necessarily been impressive when he has been given the chance, which won’t serve him well looking ahead to the summer.
It is safe to say that he doesn’t fit in with the traditional approach of Potter’s football, so a sale could make sense for all parties.
Name | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Niclas Fullkrug | 9 | 2 | 1 |
Baris Alper Yilmaz | 26 | 10 | 3 |
Semih Kilicsoy | 25 | 3 | 2 |
The addition of Yilmaz and Kilicsoy could prove to be wise given their output in the Super Lig for two of the biggest sides in the division.
It will be interesting to learn what the scouting mission achieves in Turkyie and how that impacts the future prospects of Fullkrug.
