West Ham line up major new deal before Premier League ban
West Ham have begun to set their plans for the 2025/26 campaign into motion ahead of a busy summer for Graham Potter.
There is no doubt that the current season is a failure. The appointment of Julen Lopetegui simply didn’t work out, and Potter has not impressed so far in his tenure.
With the Hammers likely to finish 17th in the Premier League, big changes are needed in the summer to ensure the club are not in a relegation battle next year.
Now, the club has made a controversial move in order to bring more money by signing a new sponsorship deal with a gambling company.

West Ham set to sign one-year sponsorship deal with bookies company BoyleSports
It is no secret that West Ham needs more money this summer. Reports suggest that the Hammers may need to sell to buy if they want to upgrade their squad.
This has led to multiple reports that Jarrod Bowen may leave West Ham to help raise funds.
However, the club has now taken another step to help its financial position.
According to The Sun (page 49, 2 May), West Ham are lining up a one-year sponsorship with gambling company BoyleSports.
Gambling sponsorships are particularly controversial at the moment. The Premier League is set to ban the advertisement of betting companies on the front of clubs’ shirts from next season onwards.

West Ham show true colours with gambling sponsorship
While it might be inconvenient for some Premier League clubs that gambling sponsorships are being banned, there is a reason for it.
Such companies should not be allowed in the consistent limelight, especially given how many children are exposed to these sponsorships.
Yet, West Ham have shown that they do not care about the effects this can have, and are just pursuing the extra cash that it can bring in before the ban takes place.
If this sponsorship does happen, then the London club have shown their true colours.
While it is true that the Hammers need to bring in more money this summer, there are better ways to do it than resorting to gambling sponsorships.
