West Ham United stance on Mohammed Kudus transfer emerges amid Liverpool and Arsenal update

West Ham United have no intention of selling Mohammed Kudus this summer despite interest from Arsenal and Liverpool, according to The Athletic.

The Hammers spent £38m to bring the Ghana star to the London Stadium and he has had an excellent debut campaign in east London, registering 13 goals and four assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.

That form has attracted interest from some of the countries’ top clubs, but according to Roshane Thomas (19 April) they will not consider a sale unless their £38m fee is doubled this summer.

“Liverpool and Arsenal remain admirers of the 23-year-old, although West Ham’s stance is that he is not for sale and the £38million they paid for him would surely need to be doubled,” they wrote.

West Ham United can’t afford to lose Mohammed Kudus

The summer transfer window is going to be a puzzle for West Ham and whoever the manager of the club is once the season ends.

Lucas Paqueta looks set to be heading to Manchester City when his £85million release clause becomes active, while players like Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd and Michail Antonio’s futures are also up in the air.

Whoever is in charge, whether it be David Moyes or someone else, will have a big rebuilding job on their hands and one bit of stability will be keeping other key players.

Mohammed Kudus has been a key performer for West Ham this season.

Jarrod Bowen is unlikely to be heading anywhere else as things stand, but keeping Kudus at the club may not be as easy if other clubs come calling.

But with Paqueta’s fee likely to be enough to fund the summer, there is no pressure to sell anyone else and Kudus should be a Hammer next season unless something unexpected happens.
