Newcastle want to sign Jarrod Bowen, West Ham want to renew contract – report
Newcastle United are willing to compete with any interested clubs in the race for West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen this summer, according to 90min.
The 25-year-old has been in incredible for this season for the Hammers, scoring 14 goals and registering nine assists in all competitions this season.
After being linked with a move to Liverpool in the past, it’s now emerged that Eddie Howe is ready to rival them for his signature having been a fan since his days as Bournemouth manager.

West Ham have already held initial discussions about a new contract with Bowen, whose current deal expires in 2025, but they are now under major pressure to make him one of their highest paid players.
There is no transfer fee mentioned in the report but the Hammers would surely take a hard-nose approach to any negotiations in the same way they are with Declan Rice.
No chance
West Ham are currently building a squad that is capable of competing regularly for European places in the Premier League, so selling Bowen would only harm them.
Since signing from Hull he has gone from strength to strength and is now one of the first names on the team-sheet at the London Stadium because of his performances.

A pay-rise is certainly deserved to put him in line with the top earners considering his new role as the main man, but there is no pressure to sell even if they can’t agree.
Just like with Rice, his contract leaves the Hammers with plenty of leverage and the club are currently in a better position than Newcastle are in terms of playing at the highest level.
Newcastle would have to come in with a massive offer to even tempt us to sell, and while that’s possible, there’s little reason that he’d want to leave.
