Taty Castellanos could force West Ham United exit for one reason after relegation
Taty Castellanos could be set to force a move away from West Ham United this summer.
The Hammers sit in a perilous predicament, with one match remaining to secure their spot in the Premier League, but two points behind survival.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side sit 18th in the Premier League heading into the final day, with Leeds making the trip to the London Stadium.
The problem is that they are reliant on things going their way in the north of the capital, with 17th-place Tottenham taking on Everton.
With relegation looming, a mass exodus could be on the cards this summer, starting with one of their January signings.

Reports in Brazil outline Taty Castellanos relegation decision
Making the move from Lazio in January, Argentine striker Castellanos has proven to be a real workhorse up top for the Irons.
While he does not boast the most formidable goalscoring record, the forward has more than played his part as Nuno’s side fight against the drop.

Now, reports from Bruno Andrade and ESPN Brazil suggest that he could be one of the first names looking to leave the London Stadium this summer.
Speaking on the Fala A Fonte programme, journalist Andrade outlined that the forward is uncomfortable with the idea of losing 50 per cent of his salary, should the Hammers drop down to the Championship.
As a result, Castellanos could force a move should the worst-case scenario arrive.
Backing up recent reports, Premier League side Fulham are interested in his signature, whilst the player is also open to a move back to South America.
What does Taty Castellanos earn at West Ham?
As per the figures from Caplogy, Castellanos is said to have earned around £40,000 per week at Lazio during the 2024-25 campaign.
Following his move to East London, this is said to have almost doubled.
According to the site, the Argentines’ reported wages are £75,000, meaning that a 50 per cent reduction would see him drop below what he was earning no less than six months ago.

Naturally, a wage increase would have been required to convince him to join a side that were almost nailed on to go down at the turn of the year, resulting in the sharp increase from Lazio to West Ham.
Now, the striker could be set to receive a reduction of that, and while fans will naturally question loyalty, the fact of the matter is that there could be clubs ready to match the figure handed to him at the London Stadium.
