Pablo transfer requires ‘investigation’ as West Ham questions raised
Pablo has been a flop since arriving at West Ham United.
The Hammers could be relegated to the Championship as early as Tuesday night if Tottenham beat Chelsea, though even a draw is likely to be enough given the signficant goal difference.
As to how that outcome is set to come to fruition, there are various factors to note, but perhaps none as prevalent as West Ham’s transfer business over the last few windows.
West Ham had to roll the dice in January in an attempt to stay in the Premier League, adding several options to their attacking shape.
Pablo arrived from Gil Vicente in a transfer that one journalist has jokingly called for investigation.

West Ham baffled everyone with Pablo transfer
Taty Castellanos was a smart signing on paper, and in action, he has certainly provided more good than bad.
However, for Pablo, that could not be further from the truth.

Since arriving for £20million from Gil Vicente, the striker, now turned midfielder, has failed to score a single goal, while managing just one assist.
But what was made even stranger about the transfer was the fee, given that Gil Vicente had paid just six figures to sign him six months earlier, and that stance was shared by journalist Jose Alberto Chozas via X.
He said: “One day someone will investigate the signing of Pablo—with no last name—by West Ham.
“His agency is Gestifute, Mendes’ agency, curiously the same as that of his manager at the Hammers, Nuno Espírito Santo. He hasn’t scored a single goal for West Ham.
West Ham will have to life with Pablo regret
There’s no way to beat around the bush; Pablo has been terrible for West Ham.
But having paid £20m for him, they are almost guaranteed to lose money on him, though the question would be asked as to who would even pay half of what they did to take him off their hands.
It’s unlikely to happen, and it seems as though the Irons will be stuck with him.
Whether that is a good thing in the Championship or not remains to be seen.
