West Ham star Jarrod Bowen’s plans could change drastically amid Arsenal injury update
West Ham United favourite Jarrod Bowen suffered double disappointment this week, but there may yet be some hope.
Bowen was left out of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the upcoming World Cup, despite being picked regularly during the German’s tenure.
The 29-year-old also suffered relegation with West Ham on Sunday in what it is fair to say has been a very bad few days.
However, Tuchel can still call upon a long list of players should any of those he has selected pick up an injury between now and the tournament.
And it may well be that Bowen is called upon if an injury scare coming out of Arsenal is anything to go by.

Noni Madueke injury scare leaves door ajar for Jarrod Bowen
Bowen was a surprise omission from the England squad, albeit not the most surprising as Phil Foden, Cole Palmer and Harry Maguire were also snubbed.
Arsenal winger Noni Madueke got the nod, but he went off clutching his hamstring in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.
| Jarrod Bowen | West Ham stats 2025-26 |
| Games (starts) | 38 (38) |
| Mins | 3,405 |
| Goals/assists | 9/11 |
| Headed goals | 1 |
| Right-foot goals | 2 |
| Left-foot goals | 6 |
Madueke, who scored what proved to be the winner at Selhurst Park, was later seen joining in his side’s on-pitch title celebrations.
No further update has been shared on Madueke’s condition, but it is surely a concern for Tuchel this close to his side jetting off to the United States.
Palmer would likely be at the top of many England fans’ lists of replacements, but Bowen may well be the more logical replacement.
With Bowen you know exactly what you are going to get, plus he will not be demanding starts.

All the 29-year-old can do is sit tight and await any further updates, not just in terms of Madueke but any other World Cup-bound England attackers who are not 100 per cent.
Bowen makes thoughts clear as he’s asked West Ham exit question
Bowen will inevitably continue to be linked with numerous Premier League clubs following West Ham’s relegation.
It is the price you pay for going down, with many other teammates also looking certain to move on between now and September.
However, Bowen has made clear he will stay at West Ham and try to guide the Irons back up to the Premier League.
Nobody would begrudge Bowen a move away from the London Stadium, but he clearly does not want to leave on this note.
One more season of Bowen in claret and blue may just make sense for everyone, before potentially then getting his move in a year’s time when West Ham are a lot more stable.
