VAR audio for West Ham disallowed goal vs Arsenal will be released imminently – here’s how to listen to it
VAR audio from the disallowed West Ham United goal against Arsenal will be released on Tuesday evening.
BBC journalist Dale Johnson has revealed that the full audio from the officials will be aired on Match Officials Mic’d Up, which is scheduled for 7pm BST on 12 May.
Darren England advised Chris Kavanagh to have a look at the incident between Pablo and David Rayay in the build-up to Callum Wilson finding the back of the net in the 95th minute.
The Hammers’ forward was adjudged to have impeded the Spanish goalkeeper as he came out to claim a ball from a corner kick, with the game ending 1-0 for the hosts at London Stadium.
Nuno Espirito Santo wasn’t pleased with the officials against Arsenal and with the Irons going to the PGMO for explanation, it looks like the authorities feel it’s only right to release the audio for everyone to hear after the commotion around it.

Chris Kavanagh decision can make or break West Ham season
It’s baffling to think that a VAR review could determine the Premier League winners and the relegation battle this season.
While there’s an argument to be made for disallowing the goal, the Hammers faithful will contest that, since it wasn’t clear and obvious to Kavanagh at first glance, it should have stood.

The on-field referee didn’t initially find any issue with the incident, but freeze frames led him to change his mind.
Football is a game that flows and can’t be judged by still images, which is something we’ve been seeing more and more of since the introduction of VAR.
Nuno Espirito Santo handed Premier League lifeline
West Ham still have hope in the Premier League, with Tottenham Hotspur dropping points against Leeds United on 11 May at home in the 1-1 draw.
At one point, it looked like Spurs would be four points ahead of the Hammers with two games to go, but the West Yorkshire outfit’s equaliser will surely be a massive boost at London Stadium.

If the Irons beat Newcastle United at St James’ Park on 17 May, they will temporarily go above Tottenham in the table, who face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge 48 hours later.
The future of the East London club could potentially be on the line in the coming weeks and supporters in E20 will surely be behind Nuno until the end.
