Jean-Clair Todibo's loan away from West Ham has already been plunged into chaos.

The French defender refused to play for Nuno Espirito Santo again, and that meant the Hammers had to find a solution.

Ideally, the Irons would have wanted the centre-back to depart on a permanent deal.

But, in the end, they had to settle for a loan move to RC Lens.

Todibo has not been at the Ligue 1 club for long, making just two of their matchday squads so far.

But now the northern France side have put Todibo into a realm of uncertainty with what is being reported.

What decision has been made on RC Lens manager Dino Topmoller?

Todibo would have wanted nothing more than a stable enviroment for him to play his football in away from West Ham.

However, at RC Lens, he is not going to get that. At least not for the moment.

According to French publication L'Equipe, RC Lens are set to sack manager Dino Toppmoller.

With his dismissal now set to see him not feature on the Lens bench ahead of their Friday night fixture against AS Monaco.

It comes just weeks after the German manager led the Ligue 1 club to victory in the French Super Cup against PSG.

Todibo had not yet been part of RC Lens' squad at that point, with a 1-0 win securing the trophy.

What does this mean for Jean-Clair Todibo and West Ham?

With a new manager now set to come in, Todibo faces an uncertainty as to whether he becomes a preferred option at RC Lens.

It was only early days under Toppmoller for the Frenchman but he had the confidence to know that the German was the one who brought him to the club in the first place.

Todibo has played just one game for the Ligue 1 outfit, and with his deal not including an option to buy, West Ham will have firm eyes on his development.

The Hammers will be hoping he performs well, either enticing RC Lens to pursue a permanent deal next summer, or open the door for another team to swoop.

But with the change of manager, that has been plunged into more doubt.

The coming weeks will certainly be important for everyone involved, and it is a situation that will continue to be followed closely in E20.

Let's hope it works out the way that West Ham want.
