Soungoutou Magassa's West Ham future is in his own hands as he now faces a decision.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move out of E20 for quite some time, despite only arriving last summer.

Bologna and Sevilla have sent offers for Magassa, and the Irons have approved the terms of his exit.

Who holds the advantage in signing West Ham's Soungoutou Magassa?

Magassa will be pondering over his future in the coming hours and days before the deadline.

According to the print edition of Corriere della Sera, Magassa's next club will be up to him following offers from Bologna and Sevilla.

They state that the midfielder will now have to choose between the Serie A and La Liga side.

However, it appears that Sevilla are ahead in the race, with the report sharing that the Spanish side's offer is "appearing more advantageous."

But, there are still plenty of twists and turns in this window, and Hammers fans will be awaiting to see where he next ends up.

Why West Ham can't allow Magassa to leave without a replacement

While Magassa may want to leave, and it seems the Hammers are open to a departure, they will be extremely light in midfield if they sanction that exit.

Currently, in the squad, they would only have three fit central midfielders that are in Nuno Espirito Santo's plans.

They would be Arne Engels, Mohamadou Kante and Lewis Orford.

And over a full season where West Ham are hoping for promotion, that is not enough cover in the middle of the pitch.
