Crysencio Summerville appears next on the chopping block at West Ham United.

Like Mateus Fernandes, the race is only intensifying on who will actually sign the winger this summer.

As West Ham returned for pre-season after relegation, Summerville is still on his break after his positive World Cup campaign.

That could mean that we've seen the last of him at Rush Green.

Roma are well-known to be interested in the attacker, but Manchester United continue to monitor his situation.

Wiht money now on the table, Summerville's exit is only going to heat up.

How much has been bid for Crysencio Summerville?

West Ham Zone has previously reported that Summerville agents are in Rome for crunch transfer talks.

That has seen the transfer advance.

In fact, Gazzetta Dello Sport has reported in its print edition on Wednesday that Roma have made a £34million bid for the winger.

However, the newspaper states that Summerville's high wage demands initially got negotiations off to a bad start.

With the West Ham star wanting £5.1m-per-year, or £98,000-a-week, it stranded the ongoing talks, but those demands have dropped.

The offer has kickstarted that again though, but no response has been shared.

How much do West Ham really want?

It has been widely shared that £50m is around the asking price.

With huge clubs like Manchester United involved, there is a natural inflation to see just how much they want the player.

Serie A clubs aren't known for splashing the cash, often trying to secure loans first with options or obligations to buy.

After selling Fernandes for £85m, West Ham don't need to necessarily sell Summerville, so there isn't any messing around.

Why say yes to a loan when the Hammers could simply keep the player, no matter what they think.

So, the ball is in the court of others, either pay more or simply you won't sign Summerville in this current window.

After a positive breakthrough World Cup, his value is only going one way, regardless of relegation to the Championship.

Summerville's exit is getting nearer, but it's about time that West Ham start looking at players coming the other way.

Nuno Espirito Santo desperately needs them.
