West Ham United are still looking to bolster their attacking options before the transfer window slams shut.

The Hammers have added Manor Solomon and Joel Piroe to their final-third options during the summer so far.

But Nuno Espirito Santo clearly still wants more options to complement what he has as he seems to engineer an immediate return to the Premier League.

Among the options reportedly on the Hammers' radar is Norway Under-21 international Edvin Austbo.

The 21-year-old, currently playing for Viking, has been on the club's radar throughout the summer window.

And it looks like that is still the case despite a development involving Reiss Nelson, another who has been linked to West Ham this summer.

What's the latest with West Ham's pursuit of Reiss Nelson and Edvin Austbo?

There have been plenty of attackers linked to West Ham in recent weeks, but Nelson has been predominant among them.

Theoretically, that opens the door to make their move for Nelson, after it was previously suggested they were chasing a loan move.

Nelson, Ornstein says, also has interest from other clubs in England and abroad.

Even though that opportunity may have landed on the Hammers' lap, ExWhuEmployee told the West Ham Way patreon that the Irons are still negotiating for "really exciting prospect" Austbo.

He said: "The winger situation is interesting because we like Reiss Nelson and clearly we expected him to be released so this is why we held off on the deal but now that he has been released it seems we are still very keen on Edvin Austbo of Viking.

"This deal is proving harder to conclude but is one we have continued negotiations with today and one we really want to get concluded.

"He is seen as a really exciting prospect and one that could give us a real attacking edge."

What else are West Ham trying to do before deadline day?

The Hammers have had to be patient in the transfer window, but things did eventually heat up.

As well as Piroe and Solomon, Arne Engels, Divine Mukasa, and Joel Veltman have all arrived to strengthen the ranks.

Nuno is still looking to add another centre-back to the ranks, with Everton's Michael Keane a possibility.

A new left-back is also being eyed with El Hadji Malick Diouf set to seal a move back to the Premier League with Brentford.
