West Ham United are preparing to make their move for Troy Parrott.

A centre-forward is on the agenda for the Hammers who have recently been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Wilson Isidor.

Sunderland are not open to selling Isidor but for the Irons, they do have options elsewhere.

And it appears they are moving on quickly in the market as they seek to add their first signing of the summer.

At 24 years old, Parrott has become one of Europe's hottest prospects with a host of clubs chasing him.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, West Ham are hoping that an offer of £18million will be enough to land the signing of the Irishman.

That is amidst interest from plenty of European clubs, including from Ajax, Como, PSV Eindhoven and Real Betis.

The Irons do hold an advantage there as well though, with Ajax and PSV said to have some difficulties over a transfer with AZ "reluctant" to sell to fellow Eredivise sides.

And despite West Ham being in the Championship, it has been said that "he would be open" to the move to London Stadium.

Comments from AZ Alkmaar's manager have also firmly opened the door to a summer sale for the Irishman.
