Manchester United have taken concrete steps to sign Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United this summer.

The 24-year-old is attracting interest from the Red Devils after a decent year at the Hammers, providing seven Premier League goal contributions since January.

With the Irons suffering relegation this season, their top players are being linked with exits and Mateus Fernandes has already left for Tottenham Hotspur.

Summerville could be next to leave London Stadium after becoming a leading target for Man United in the transfer window.

Jarrod Bowen is another player whose future under Nuno Espirito Santo seems uncertain.

The Netherlands international's situation will likely be addressed sooner rather than later at the East London outfit after the Oranje were knocked out of the 2026 World Cup and it isn't surprising to see him being linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Crysencio Summerville stats emerge from World Cup

While Summerville caught the attention of many with his Premier League performances, his stock has arguably risen since the start of the World Cup.

The winger made four appearances for Ronald Koeman's team in North America, starting twice, scoring two goals, providing two assists, creating one big chance and averaging one key pass per game, as per Sofascore.

According to Sky Sports on 3 July, Man United have held initial talks with the Hammers to explore a potential deal for the Dutch attacker.

For the Netherlands, Summerville recorded one successful dribble per game, and put in a shift defensively, averaging one tackle, winning 3.5 of his total duels and recovering the ball 2.8 times per game.

What are West Ham demanding to sell Crysencio Summerville?

West Ham are ready to sell Summerville for the right price as they look for a replacement.

A price tag of £50million has been suggested for the forward who joined the Hammers for £25m plus add-ons from Leeds United in 2024.

The attacker has three years remaining on his contract, putting the Irons in a decent position to negotiate a favourable deal.

After Summerville's displays at the World Cup, the East London outfit would be justified in demanding more, with Man United not the only team in the race for him.
