West Ham United are facing increasing competition in the battle for Famalicao attacker Gustavo Sa.

The Hammers relegation from the Premier League has led to a really difficult summer transfer window.

Mateus Fernandes was the first to head for the London Stadium exit door, with Tottenham paying £85million to sign him.

Crysencio Summerville has now also exited, with Al-Hilal agreeing a deal that could reach £35m for the Netherlands winger.

So far, the only business done is a full move for Keiber Lamadrid, and there is a desire to bring in reinforcements before the Championship campaign gets underway.

Now, Greek outlet Sport24 reports that Olympiacos are now interested in signing the 21-year-old as the competition heats up.

The report adds that there has been talk of a proposal being put forward by the Greek giants.

However, it is mentioned that there are still "English teams" involved in what is shaping up to be a clustered race.

The trail in the last couple of weeks has gone a little cold with this one.

It seemed a bit of a formality just a couple of weeks ago, but these things can change extremely quickly in the transfer window.
