West Ham United want to sign Samuel Iling-Junior, Juventus ready to sell him

West Ham United are ready to battle to sign Juventus winger Samuel Illing-Junior in the summer, with the Serie A club open to a sale according to HITC.

Writing on their website (21 February) the news outlet report that the England youth international, who is the youngest player to have started a Champions League game for Juventus, is a target for the Hammers, Crystal Palace, Brighton and Wolves.

Juventus are open to a sale after he failed to break into Max Allegri’s team this season and a £16m fee could be enough to bring him to the Premier League.

West Ham have a big summer transfer window ahead

This is going to be a huge summer transfer window for the Hammers, because there are so many big decisions to make.

Firstly the club need to know who the manager is going to be, with the future of David Moyes up in the air and speculation that the club are interested in Thomas Tuchel while they’ve also made contact with Graham Potter and Julen Lopetegui.

Only then will the club be able to decide on their transfer targets, which means these decisions absolutely need to be made quickly.

It’s clear however that a winger has been targeted for the summer with Lucas Paqueta a target for Manchester City, with Barcelona star Raphinha already linked as a potential option.

But Iling-Junior could be a cheaper alternative and someone who would come in hungry to improve with a ceiling to improve and potentially be sold on for a profit in the future. This is one to keep an eye on for sure.
