West Ham United transfer update emerges on Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke
West Ham have placed Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke high on their list of summer transfer targets, according to The Telegraph.
The publication reported via its online edition on Wednesday (21 February) that the Englishman has many admirers at West Ham.
Solanke would also help tick the homegrown quota box, but the Irons are expected to face competition from Premier League rivals.

West Ham’s need for a striker in the summer transfer window is well documented. Indeed, they could have done with one in the January window.
The less said about last month’s activities the better, but there is a chance to put it right in four months’ time by moving for a player like Solanke.
Some snobby supporters may believe there are better players out there, perhaps undiscovered gems, but Solanke has showed his worth.
While he has not always been prolific in the Premier League, he has 14 goals in 24 appearances this season.
Solanke even has the approval of Thierry Henry – as well as Darren Bent – as he was full of praise for the striker while working as a pundit for Amazon Prime in December.

“What he’s doing right now is brilliant,” Henry said, as per Bournemouth’s official website [29 December]. “Not only him but I’m happy for him because he did struggle for a little bit, now he’s looking good.”
Solanke has netted home and away against West Ham this term, so it is no surprise those high up at the club are aware of his talents.
A striker is desperately needed, and if it is to be Solanke who fills the void from 2024-25, the Irons could do a lot worse.
