West Ham United transfer news as contact made to sign Inter Miami star Diego Gomez

West Ham and other Premier League clubs have made contact with Inter Miami over the sale of midfielder Diego Gomez, according to Bruno Pont.

The ABC Radio journalist took to X on 15 July to claim that there is an Italian side also keen on securing the services of the 7-cap Paraguay international.

Gomez, 21, is a regular for the side that Lionel Messi is a part of and has managed to score three goals and provide three assists in 15 games despite being a midfielder.

Pont wrote: ” West Ham and other Premier clubs asked about the Paraguayan Diego.

“An Italian club also appears that is interested.”

West Ham should initiate contact with Diego Gomez’s representatives

The Hammers must now make contact with his representatives to further to bolster their chances of signing him.

His ability to win the ball high up the pitch and create chances for himself and others would provide a much-needed boost to the team’s attacking options.

Furthermore, his performances for Inter Miami and the Paraguayan national team demonstrate his maturity and game vision, which would be beneficial for West Ham’s ambitions in the Premier League.

It remains to be seen how expensive any deal to sign him will be as it’s not going to be easy to sign him.

While the Premier League is the best in the world, Inter Miami are building a brand and will not want to sell their best players.

It remains to be seen if the Hammers make an official bid and try to convince him to leave the United States.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers may vary their training routines as they have made an approach to sign a £70m-rated player this summer.
