West Ham United told if Jean-Clair Todibo loan will be cancelled already
Jean-Clair Todibo is already stuck in a dreadful loan at RC Lens.
If actually possible, the French defender is having an even worse time of it there than he did at West Ham.
After a very public fallout with Nuno Espirito Santo last season, Todibo was lucky to even make the squad.
And as West Ham were relegated, he was quickly looking for a way out from the London Stadium.
The Hammers were happy to grant that, with RC Lens winning the race ahead of fellow Ligue 1 side, Marseille.
But, they may be wishing they didn't, given how it's gone.
Will RC Lens terminate Todibo loan?
All West Ham fans are praying that isn't the case.
There are serious concerns around the fitness of the defender, who still can't complete 90 minutes two months into the season.
With limited minutes and appearances off the bench not going well, fans are getting restless in Northern France.
But, he won't be going anywhere yet.
Sebastien Denis has taken to X on Thursday to respond to fans wanting his loan cancelled early.
The Foot Mercato journalist states that there is zero consideration from Lens management to terminate the deal.
West Ham will be very thankful for that.
What's gone wrong for Todibo in France?
After a nightmare spell at West Ham, a return to his home country was considered best by all parties.
But, right now, he'll be heading back to London next summer.
Signed for £35million, it's been a disastrous move for all parties, and a deal that shows just how West Ham were relegated.
Add on the £27m paid for Niclas Fullkrug, and the mismanagement is simply ludicrous.
Todibo is yet to complete a full game for Lens, only going above 45 minutes in one of his four appearances.
Despite having that experience of playing for Barcelona, he certainly isn't anywhere near that level.
Konstantinos Mavropanos is the man at West Ham, and he couldn't even lace his boots, especially not now.
With a contract until 2029 with the Irons, they could both find themselves in an arrangement that neither party wants.
Discontent is growing at Lens, and if he can't turn things around there, it's hard to know where Todibo goes from here.
