West Ham United scout Tyler Dibling as Southampton exit update emerges
West Ham United scouts watched Tyler Dibling in action during Southampton’s clash with Ipswich Town, according to Graeme Bailey.
The journalist reported via HITC Sport on Sunday (22 September) that Hammers scouts were at St Mary’s for Saturday’s (21 September) draw which saw the 18-year-old gem score his first Premier League goal.
As well as the Irons, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Tottenham, Brighton and Crystal Palace are all understood to have kept an eye on the young forward as the Saints drew 1-1 with Kieran McKenna’s side.
Will Tyler Dibling exit Southampton after West Ham United transfer update?
The summer transfer window may have only closed a matter of days ago, but it already seems as though Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten have turned their attention to business that they could potentially do in January.
Dibling may not have loads of first-team football under his belt having only made a single Championship appearance for the Saints last term, but he has impressed since Southampton returned to the Premier League.
Russell Martin’s side will of course be desperate to keep the 18-year-old on the south coast for as long as they possibly can, but they may find it difficult to reject any big money offers that may arrive from an established Premier League side.
Whether or not West Ham would be able to beat the likes of Manchester United and Spurs to Dibling’s signature remains unclear, particularly after a heavy summer of spending at the London Stadium.

Perhaps the guarantee of more regular first-team football in East London could be attractive to the teenager, but a young forward will always find a move to Old Trafford hard to turn down if the Red Devils come knocking.
It will be interesting to see whether or not the Hammers take their interest in the youngster any further in the coming transfer windows. This could be one to keep an eye on, especially if Southampton fail to dodge the drop this term.
