West Ham United have approached Juventus over a deal for striker Moise Kean this summer, according to Edoardo Mecca.

The Italian journalist reported via his personal X account on Saturday (15 June) that Bologna, Fiorentina, Roma, Lazio, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla have also enquired about the forward.

According to Dean Jones [15 January], the Irons were tipped as a possible destination for the Italian striker during the January transfer window, though a move never materialised.

Kean is a very well-known figure in the Premier League, having made a total of 39 appearances for Everton between 2019 and 2021 before joining Juventus on an initial loan deal, which was made permanent in January 2023.

Despite winning 15 caps international caps for Italy, the 24-year-old has always struggled to settle down at a club and never looked comfortable during his time at Goodison Park.

There is no doubt that the young striker has the ability and potential to be a star, having scored goals for PSG and Juventus, and Julen Lopetegui could be the manager to get that out of him.

It is clear that David Moyes' replacement wants a new striker at London Stadium, with the Hammers being linked with Tammy Abraham, Samu Omorodion, and Kean's teammate, Matias Soule.

While Michail Antonio still looks to have energy in his legs at 34 years of age, he is the only real striker option at the club currently, and considering his recent injury record, backup is necessary.

Mainly due to his spells on the sidelines, he only managed six goals in the Premier League last season, with Jarrod Bowen doing most of the heavy lifting in the final third, notching 20 goals in all competitions.

The Englishman was utilised as a striker for much of the campaign, though this cannot be a long-term fix at the London Stadium, and the vacant forward position must be filled this summer.
