West Ham United exit on cards as 15-time champions eye Luis Guilherme transfer

Luis Guilherme could be on his way out of West Ham United on transfer deadline day as Shakhtar Donetsk retain an interest in the winger, according to Graeme Bailey.

The Boot Room journalist shared via his personal X account [3 February] that the Brazilian youngster is being eyed by 15-time Ukrainian league champions Shakhtar ahead of the window closing.

Bailey adds that an exit is possible on Monday (3 February) for Guilherme, who was previously reported to be the subject of a £12.5million offer [Fabrizio Romano].

West Ham United should consider Luis Guilherme sale

Guilherme looked like being an exciting signing when he joined from Palmeiras last summer, but he has not had a chance to really showcase his talents.

Indeed, the 18-year-old has made just five appearances in the Premier League so far, each coming off the bench and totalling just 45 minutes on the field.

It goes without saying that one half of football spread across a handful of games is not enough for Guilherme to make a mark.

The question is whether West Ham look to sanction a permanent sale for the midfielder, or instead farm him off on loan for the time being.

The fact he is still so young means there is plenty of time for him to further develop over the coming months and years.

David Sullivan and Co. need to make a decision soon, though, or else Guilherme will effectively be left stagnating on the bench between now and the summer.

In other West Ham news, the club have reportedly made a £35m proposal for a summer striker signing.
