Shakhtar Donetsk have submitted a bid worth £12.5million for West Ham attacker Luis Guilherme, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Writing via his personal X account on Tuesday night (28 January), Romano reported that the Brazilian, 18, is expected to leave the London Stadium before the winter transfer window closes on 3 February.

Tim Steidten signed Guilherme for £25million in the summer but it now looks as though he could leave the Hammers for around half of that fee with Ukranian giants Shakhtar making a move.

Romano adds that there are more clubs keen on the former Palmeiras ace and he doesn't say if West Ham have accepted Shakhtar's bid.

West Ham set for huge loss on Luis Guilherme

It's no shock to see Guilherme leaving the Irons so soon after arriving.

Steidten spent a fair bit of time in Brazil doing business in the summer and there was a lot of excitement about Guilherme, who who been dubbed as a quality young talent.

However, since moving to England, the Brazil Under-20s international has made just six appearances in all competitions, adding up to just 50 minutes' worth of game-time.

Steidten spent £25million on Guilherme, only for him to play less than an hour. And now, it looks like the Hammers could suffer a £12.5million loss on him.

The German fell out with David Moyes, then fell out with Julen Lopetegui and went about replacing the Spaniard in a disgraceful manner.

Is he the worst appointment David Sullivan has made in his time in East London?
