West Ham United considering bid for Blackburn striker Ben Brereton Diaz

West Ham United are considering a bid for Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton Diaz as David Moyes steps up his search for attacking additions according to The Sun’s Alan Nixon.

The Daily Mail reported on Sunday (17 July) that the Hammers are ready to complete the loan signing of Armando Broja on loan for the 2022/23.

The Irons have also agreed on a deal in principle for Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca worth an initial £34million according to 90min on Friday (15 July).

Nixon has also suggested on Sunday 17 July (via his Patreon) that West Ham are considering a bid for Stoke-born Brereton Diaz although they aren’t willing to pay Blackburn’s £20million asking price at present.

Hammers mean business

West Ham have shown they mean business in the transfer window over the last week.

It appears that the Hammers are actively looking to sign a number of forwards with the club keen to add to their striking options.

A strike force of Michail Antonio, Scamacca and Broja would be an ideal selection for Moyes to pick from for the 2022/23 season.

Scamacca and Broja look more likely to come through the door at the London Stadium compared to Brereton Diaz at present.

However, if either move did fall through then the Blackburn man would be a superb backup option for Moyes to look at.

The Hammers have had success when looking at the Championship market in recent years and the 23-year-old could certainly replicate Jarrod Bowen and Said Benrahma’s success at the London Stadium.

The Blackburn man is only 23 and could prove to be a good long-term addition for Moyes to call upon.

The introduction of some attacking talent will certainly raise excitement levels amongst fans heading into the new season.
