West Ham to gatecrash Rangers bid for Amario Cozier-Duberry after £7.5m offer
West Ham have joined a host of clubs showing an interest in signing Brighton winger Amario Cozier-Duberry.
After impressing while on loan at Bolton Wanderers last season, 21-year-old Cozier-Duberry has attracted suitors from Scotland, Germany, France, Belgium and the English Championship.
Rangers have reportedly seen a £7.5million bid for the England youth international rejected by Brighton.
And now, it's been claimed that West Ham are keen on signing the London-born attacker on loan.
The Sun journalist Simon Collings reported via X on Wednesday that the Hammers are eyeing up a temporary move for Cozier-Duberry.
But getting a deal done might not be as simple as many West Ham fans would think.
Who West Ham are up against in their bid to sign Amario Cozier-Duberry
As per Collings, West Ham are one of many clubs keen on signing Cozier-Duberry before the summer transfer window closes in around two weeks' time.
As well as Rangers, Anderlecht have had a £5m bid of their own turned down by Brighton, while Monaco, Schalke and Wolfsburg are also looking into permanent deals for the winger.
West Ham aren't the only Championship club keen on a loan move for the former Bolton loanee either, after he scored 10 goals and supplied 13 assists in 41 total appearances last term for the 2025-26 League One play-off winners.
And it's no surprise to see so many clubs interested in him after what's been said about the youngster in his budding career so far.
What his former managers have said about him
Cozier-Dubbery began his professional career with Arsenal before joining Brighton in 2024.
Not long after he arrived, he was loaned out to Blackburn, where he scored once in 22 Championship appearances.
That goal came against Luton, with then-Rovers manager John Eustace hailing the attacker as "virtually unplayable" in the 2-0 win for the Lancashire side in December 2024.
Earlier this summer, Bolton boss Steven Schumacher hailed Cozier-Dubbery's stint at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
As quoted by The Bolton News, he said: "Amario was unbelievable for us last year.
"What a really good player and what an unbelievable person as well.
"I spoke to Amario a few weeks ago before he went back to pre-season with Brighton and I wish them all the best."
Schumacher also confirmed in that interview that he wants Bolton to re-sign for his side on loan for the new Championship season, which kicked off last weekend with West Ham drawing at Burnley.
