Edson Alvarez could be edging closer to a West Ham United exit.

The Mexico international has been linked with a move away from the London Stadium throughout the summer.

Why San Jose Earthquakes could be ideal destination for Edson Alvarez

There is limited time remaining in the window for the Irons to make any more signings.

It feels as if sales are just as likely at this stage.

Alvarez is one of those facing the exit door and looks to be moving closer to sealing a move.

Alan Nixon reported via Patreon on Tuesday that San Jose Earthquakes have entered the race to sign the 28-year-old.

Olympiacos are also interested, but a move to MLS is said to appeal to the midfielder and his family as it would be "closer to home and San Jose also come to the party with a big Hispanic support".

When could Alvarez seal West Ham exit?
