West Ham ready to sanction post-deadline Guilherme exit as late approach made
West Ham are ready to loan out Luis Guilherme before the transfer window closes, according to O Jogo.
The Portuguese newspaper reported via their website on Monday afternoon (3 February) that Porto have made a last-gasp approach to sign the 18-year-old Brazilian, who has struggled to earn regular game time since joining the Hammers from Palmeiras in the summer.
It is understood that Porto’s contact has so far only been “exploratory” with Sporting CP, Feyenoord and Shakhtar Donetsk also said to be linked with the young Hammers attacker.
Tim Steidten signed Guilherme for £25.5million in the summer but he’s since earned just 50 minutes’ worth of first-team action for the Irons.
O Jogo claims West Ham will loan out the winger so that he can play more.
Porto make late move to sign Luis Guilherme from West Ham
Porto won’t be in as big a rush to get deals done today as West Ham will because the Portuguese transfer window, according to ESPN, doesn’t close until Tuesday (4 February).
However, the Hammers will want to know about the state of play of their squad before the Premier League’s window shuts at 11pm on Monday night.
It remains to be seen if Graham Potter will want a replacement for Guilherme before he’s sent out on loan.

The fact that he’s played just six times in all competitions this season – with all appearances being as a substitute – suggests that the new Hammers boss won’t be bothered either way if the Brazilian is allowed to leave.
As a result, there’s a chance that this deal could go through after 11pm on deadline day in England, with Porto – and Sporting CP, who are also linked – afforded that extra 24 hours to sign off on late arrivals.
