Wout Faes' potential deadline-day move to West Ham United has taken a twist.
The Hammers have been pushing to sign a new centre-back before the close of the window.
This comes with Jean-Clair Todibo on his way out of E20, and the likes of Max Kilman and Konstantinos Mavropanos staying put.

West Ham make late Wout Faes call
According to well-respected journalist Sacha Tavolieri, West Ham have backtracked on a move for Faes, despite there being a verbal agreement in lace.
The Hammers have stopped talks with Leicester City over a deal, and it remains to be seen whether a new defender will come to E20.
The Belgian had been ready to finalise a deal on Tuesday, but was blocked off by the Irons.
As per Sacha Tavolieri via X on Tuesday, close to the deadline approaching, the move is "definitely off" as West Ham "backtracked".
Todibo has signed for RC Lens, which leaves Nuno with Kilman, Mavropanos, Joel Veltman and new signing Morato as senior options.
Following West Ham's 4-2 win against Wolves, a decision may have been made based on the findings from the victory.
What West Ham learnt vs Wolves
West Ham announced the arrival of Morato from Nottingham Forest before kick-off against Wolves, with the Brazilian bolstering Nuno's defence.
However, Kilman and Mavropanos appear to be becoming a little more familiar with one another, and West Ham's defence could already be set.
Given the arrival of Morata, alongside what the Hammers already have, this could have forced the recruitment team to pull out of a deal.
The win over Wolves was perhaps all the evidence that they needed to be confident moving forward.
