West Ham make contact over shock deal for Tottenham star, he’s asked to leave imminently

West Ham have just taken a giant step towards sealing a shock move for a Tottenham star in the January transfer window.

Transfer business between the pair of London rivals has been few and far between over the years, prior to the North Londoners’ move to sign Mohammed Kudus in the summer.

West Ham have their eyes on the likes of Endrick and Adama Traore ahead of the January transfer window, and they now also have a Spurs star firmly among their list of potential targets.

Nuno Espirito Santo and Co. appear to have a clear list of options this winter, and they have just taken decisive action in their pursuit of their latest target from across the capital.

West Ham launch Manor Solomon transfer enquiry

West Ham look set to lose Niclas Fullkrug in the January window, and as a result, securing other attacking options will be hugely important in E20.

The Irons are already eyeing up possible incomings, and they now have a surprise move for Spurs star Manor Solomon in their sights in January.

The winger is currently out on loan with Villarreal, where he is understood to have had difficulties settling in so far, and is also frustrated with his gametime, according to Spanish outlet El Periodico Mediterraneo.

Solomon has already “asked” Tottenham to recall him in January, meaning that he could potentially return to England imminently if he gets his way.

West Ham have also made an enquiry to the N17 outfit about the Israel international’s availability in January, as they seek to provide an alternative option for their London rivals.

Manor Solomon has managed just one league start in 2025-26

West Ham’s relationship with Tottenham wasn’t good during Daniel Levy’s tenure at the helm of the North Londoners, but there is perhaps more scope for business between the two now that he has gone.

With that in mind, Spurs may view the Hammers as a perfect grounding for Solomon this winter, whether that be on another loan deal or even on a permanent basis.

The 26-year-old was heavily linked with a permanent exit in the summer, but ultimately had to settle for a loan, and he has had a nightmare campaign away from the Premier League so far.

The former Fulham man has started just one game in La Liga, despite the fact that he has performed well for Villarreal, with two goal involvements from four league outings.

His desire to return to his parent club in January looks set to open the door to any potential suitors, and West Ham will be well-placed to take advantage of that, having already made their interest known.
