West Ham could turn to Fulham star Adama Traore to solve their attacking woes this season.

Nuno Espirito Santo is trying to turn around the Hammers' fortunes, and take them away from the relegation battle after a dismal start to the campaign.

That would leave a hole that would need to be filled, and the 29-year-old could prove to be the ideal solution.

West Ham want Adama Traore transfer for Nuno

Traore could reunite with Nuno at West Ham, and it makes sense considering that he has worked with the Irons boss before at Wolves.

Sky Sports' Rob Dorsett claimed on 11 November that the Hammers want to sign him when the transfer market reopens.

He stated that the eight-cap Spain international is out of contract in the summer, having had a year-long extension clause activated in June.

What has Nuno said about Traore before?

The Hammers have been lacking pace and directness recently, and that is something that Traore would bring in abundance.

Nuno has already recognised that, when speaking about him when he managed him in the Midlands, with the Old Gold.

Speaking in 2021, Nuno said: “When I say unique, I say unique all over football. There is no player like Adama.

“Then you can compare what is better or not, but in his own characteristics, there is no-one in the world of football like Adama Traore.”

It is no wonder that he wants him, he could be a game-changer for the E20 outfit with his physicality and his pace, causing mayhem for opposition defenders on a regular basis.

Nuno knows his strengths better than most, and the player likely already knows the system that the Portuguese manager employs, so he would not need to bed in and take time adapting to the style of play if he was signed.

Given that his deal reportedly expires in the summer, he may be available on the cheap, and David Sullivan and Co. must take advantage and start to correct the errors of the past, that have put the team in a dangerous position.

It could be the move that keeps the East London outfit in the Premier League, and that would be worth every penny.
